The sausage world is not known for its adventurous marketing. We’re taking a cue from craft brewing in creating a cohesive family of individually branded products. Each product has what the USDA calls a “fanciful name”, with its own logo, character and story.

Illustrations for a mobile makeover company

Among my numerous personal interests, fashion and haircare rank just below tax preparation. Nonetheless, I thought these brand elements for a start-up company were pretty fun. The client did not share my enthusiasm.
Just for fun: Ortho Garden Guides



Ortho Books, an imprint of the Chevron company, published a wonderful series of brief how-to guides on home economics in the mid 1970s. As a gardener, I find books from this series to be more useful and accurate than today’s books, which seem to be marketed more for their value on the coffee table. On a rare slow afternoon, I redesigned the covers of 3 books to better reflect the essential content found inside.
